Gamer Supps Ingredients
GG® is our flagship drink mix. Below is a breakdown of the ingredients inside GG.
Vitamins
5 ingredientsVitamin C
A water-soluble vitamin, also known as ascorbic acid. It occurs naturally in citrus fruits, bell peppers, strawberries, and leafy greens. Humans are among the few mammals that can't synthesize it internally, so it has to come from the diet.
Vitamin D3
A fat-soluble vitamin, also called cholecalciferol. The body forms it when skin is exposed to UVB sunlight, and it's also found in fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified foods. It's the same form that many animals produce naturally.
Vitamin B6
A water-soluble B vitamin, also known as pyridoxine. It's naturally present in poultry, fish, starchy vegetables like potatoes, bananas, and chickpeas. It's one of the eight B vitamins.
Vitamin B12
A water-soluble B vitamin, also called cobalamin. It is notable for being the only vitamin that contains a metal ion, cobalt. It occurs naturally in animal-derived foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. Its deep red color is what gives B12 its characteristic pink tint.
Vitamin H (as Biotin 1%)
A water-soluble B vitamin, also numbered B7. The older name "Vitamin H" comes from the German Haar und Haut, meaning "hair and skin." It's naturally found in egg yolks, nuts, seeds, and organ meats. We use it as a 1% dilution.
Caffeine & Amino Compounds
5 ingredientsCaffeine
A naturally occurring alkaloid of the methylxanthine class, found in coffee beans, tea leaves, cacao, and guarana. We use PurCaf®, an organic caffeine derived from non-GMO green coffee beans rather than synthesized. Each serving contains 100mg.
L-Theanine
An amino acid found almost exclusively in tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) and a few mushroom species. It's water-soluble and is one of the compounds behind the savory, umami taste of brewed tea. In our formula it's paired with caffeine at a 2.25:1 ratio.
L-Tyrosine
A non-essential amino acid whose name comes from the Greek tyros, meaning cheese. It was first isolated from casein in cheese, and it's found in protein-rich foods like meat, fish, soy, eggs, and dairy. The body can also make it from another amino acid, phenylalanine.
Choline L-Bitartrate
Choline is an essential nutrient often grouped with the B vitamins. It's naturally abundant in eggs, liver, beef, and soybeans. We use the L-Bitartrate form, in which choline is bound to tartaric acid (a compound also found in grapes) to make a stable, water-soluble salt.
Phosphatidylserine
A phospholipid, a fatty molecule that's a structural component of cell membranes. Dietary sources include organ meats, white beans, soy lecithin, and fish such as mackerel and herring. The commercial ingredient is commonly derived from sunflower or soy lecithin.
Carotenoids
2 ingredientsLutein
A carotenoid pigment of the xanthophyll family, responsible for the yellow coloring in many plants. It's concentrated in dark leafy greens like kale and spinach, as well as egg yolks and corn. Commercially it's often extracted from marigold flowers.
Astaxanthin
A carotenoid pigment with a deep reddish-pink color. It's the compound that gives salmon, shrimp, krill, and flamingos their characteristic hue. It's fat-soluble and is produced by the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis, which is its main commercial source.
Minerals & Plant Extracts
5 ingredientsCOQ10
Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone, is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like compound found in nearly all human cells and concentrated in the mitochondria. It occurs naturally in foods such as organ meats, fatty fish, and whole grains. Its name reflects how ubiquitous it is across living tissue.
Acai Berry Extract
The deep-purple fruit of the açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea), native to the floodplains of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. It has been a dietary staple of Amazonian communities for centuries, traditionally pulped into a thick bowl. Botanically it's a drupe, with a large seed making up most of its volume.
Goji Berry Extract
The bright orange-red fruit of Lycium barbarum, a shrub native to Asia. Also called wolfberry, it has been cultivated in China for centuries and features in East Asian cuisine, often dried like a raisin or steeped in teas and soups. It's a member of the nightshade family.
Ginseng Root Extract
The root of plants in the Panax genus, used in East Asian herbal traditions for centuries and a common ingredient in many Asian energy drinks, though still less familiar in North America. The plant grows slowly, taking years to mature before harvest, which historically made wild ginseng highly prized.
Mangosteen Fruit Extract
The fruit of Garcinia mangostana, a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia. It has a thick purple rind surrounding sweet, white, segmented flesh, and is sometimes called the "queen of fruits." Despite the name, it's unrelated to the mango.
