Given the nature of this drink, I love how it tastes like a blue raspberry flavor that seems to really be tangy. I think it is worth it's praises given how a hypothetical "blood" would taste considering how the name indicates the theme that comes from the anime.
You would think that it would have been something else—when the taste hits you for the first time, I believe it genuinely woes me that they made a flavor this good as how most of their powdered drinks are. They're bangers mostly but this one really has my attention. It's Not like I usually comment or leave a review this big, but the flavor strikes deeply as you sip into it where it could make you feel like a klaxosaur or something similar as if it was notable in it's nature. For what it is worth, if you absolutely have not tasted it for yourself you should because I think it stands out a touch above the rest .
Now, there's two tastes—mixed with water and dry scooped:
Dry scooping this immediately allows the taste to hit your tongue instantly as it happens to assimilate immediately when contacting with your tongue. However, when it's mixed with the drink and SHAKEN WELL you begin to understand the lighter notes of in my humble opinion the blue raspberry flavoring . As it happens, you'll never even notice that the taste immediately disappears while your focus takes your attention to whatever you're playing at the moment or doing at the time. It keeps you up for some time and that's not entirely a bad thing unless you need to sleep.
By extension, the caffeine free version doesn't REALLY do that for me but instead it keeps me calm and focused on the task at hand and I think that helps a lot more than getting something caffeinated by compare. It doesn't beat water though since you have to mix it in a gamersupps shaker cup for a bit and shake it well before it's activated. When you're done with the drink, it seems like you are really left wondering—"is it good? Do I need more??" I usually go for one to two scoops but if the task is intense I do one more and no further since again it does keep your focus a lot. Something like this is great for long sessions in whatever task that you wanna go and do, examples for these are as listed on the can being gaming, working, working out on those sweet gains and more, but of course, I always have water for some stability.
This flavor is for those who really wanna try and somewhat immerse themselves in an anime that was about Klaxosaurs and the world itself and how deserted it felt, and gosh it felt kinda riveting. This is for those who'd want to have a calm and chill session that'd allow them to enjoy a blue raspberry flavor drink that's probably tasty compared to the rest. This is mainly for the weebs as well.
Pros:
Good taste and value for the price
Shipped ahead of time before shop tracked it.
Price to performance it hits like the others and more
Cons:
Might not be worth if you don't enjoy the flavor
Probably a decent drink compared to it's caffeinated counterpart but still a good drink.
With the anime noted, I think it's a bit much? Shouldn't be but the anime was kinda sad and carries some kind of weird undertone.
Overall rating? A light 4.
Probably going to run you a bit for a powdered drink but it's really hard to say if it's entirely worth the $40. I think it is despite having the anime series attached to the drink itself brand wise. If it didn't have the branding either , I think it wouldn't have been too bad and would have been somewhat higher in my assessment. Even still, if it doesn't have the name attached then it would have been a generic powdered drink sold by Gamersupps.
Still, the drink is fantastic.
Gamersupps has made some good drinks and this is a good one if you really want that sweet flavor.
Seriously give it a shot, and if you don't or do like it, I respect that either way.
Thanks,
Gabe
